Beginning in 1884, and for years to come, at the request of local coal miners and others, Circuit Riders traveled through the region around Sand Coulee, Stockett, and many other communities.  Preachers like F.A. Riggin, George Logan and “Brother Van”, all spent significant time in these places.

    This coming weekend, it will be 1899 in Sand Coulee and Stockett.
