Beginning in 1884, and for years to come, at the request of local coal miners and others, Circuit Riders traveled through the region around Sand Coulee, Red Butte, Stockett, Belt and other communities. Preachers like Jacob Mills, Allan Rodger, Robert Craven, F.A. Riggin, George Logan and “Brother Van”, all spent significant time in these places.
This coming weekend, it will be 1899 in these communities once again!
